Five new hotels including a Le Méridien are set to open in Qatar this year, Al Rayyan Tourism Investment (ARTIC) has announced.

Four of the hotels – Le Méridien City Center Doha, Delta Hotels City Center Doha, Element City Center Doha and Element Doha West Bay – will be located in West Bay, while a fifth, Al Samriya, Autograph Collection, will be in Al Shahaniya.

There are eleven new restaurants and cafés on the way, too, with six in Le Méridien City Center Doha and four in the Delta Hotels City Centre.

The 11th is in Al Samriya, Autograph Collection, which is in the middle of Al Samriya Farm, and walking distance from the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum.

Each of these hotels are new-builds, and will be run by Marriott International.

A sixth hotel, also in West Bay, will be rebranded as Marriott Executive Apartments City Center.

Ziad Abi Raad, director of lodging development – Middle East & Pakistan for Marriott International, said, “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with ARTIC and further enhance our footprint in the country with six additional hotels.

“Qatar is a key growth market that continues to present great opportunities for us to expand our portfolio.

“We look forward to introducing these new brands into this market and remain committed to supporting the growth of the country’s tourism sector.”

We hope you’re excited as we are.
