A passenger plane carrying 191 people on board has crash landed at an airport in southern India and several passengers are injured, local media and an airline spokesman have said. The Air India plane was coming in from Dubai on Friday when it overshot the runway as it landed in the southern city of Calicut. Local media said the fuselage split into two. “We believe there are two people dead, and 35 injured, we are still in the middle of the rescue effort,” area police superintendent Abdul Karim said.
