We’re just not satisfied with the same old food – we want to try the latest, hottest dishes, right here, right now, and we don’t want to wait for a restaurant to open for it.
Organised by Bedaya Center, the 11-day event will run daily between Tuesday January 26 and Saturday February 13 from 4pm until midnight.
We can’t tell you what food will be on offer, or who is behind any of the booths yet, because the Bedaya Center is calling for entrepreneurs to apply to take part right now.
It’s free of charge to apply, but you will need to be Qatari, have a valid commercial registration or a home license, and have all the equipment you need to operate your space if you are selected.
The Bedaya Center will be providing card readers, so you don’t need to worry about that part, at least.
Applications opened today, and you should get yours in as soon as possible if you want to take part.
Abdulla Faleh Al Saeed, general manager of the Bedaya Cente, said “Through the ‘Qatari Chef’ Initiative, we seek to highlight distinctive Qatari projects.
“By joining hands with Al Hazm, which is one of the most prestigious malls in Qatar, our goal is to provide an opportunity to a group of entrepreneurs specializing in the high-end food and beverage sector.
“This event will offer an effective platform to our entrepreneurs to develop and evolve their products and promote them in a way that is consistent with the market requirements, which puts them in competition with their peers in this sector to deliver the best.”
Delicious food and supporting local entrepreneurs? We’ll see you there!
