HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will honour the winners of the Anti-Corruption Award at its first round, in the Austrian capital, Vienna on Friday, in a ceremony which will be held under United Nations auspices, and in the presence of its Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and heads of United Nations organizations in Vienna, at Hofburg Palace.
The Award comes in recognition of HH the Emir of the efforts of those in charge of the fight against corruption at the international level, as well as the support of the State of Qatar and the United Nations mission in the fight against corruption and the fight against organized crime.
The Award was announced for the first time on October 31, 2015, and is offered in collaboration with the United Nations, and include four categories: scientific research, innovation, and creativity of young people, and the Lifetime Achievement.(QNA)
