Msheireb Museums has launched a new competition to design a unique souvenir which will be sold in its gift shop.

Designers, innovators, students and the general public are encouraged to take part, provided they are over 18 and residents of Qatar.

It is hoped the competition will inspire the creative youth, explore new talents, and preserve the Qatari national heritage and legacy.

Dr Hafez Ali, director of Msheireb Museums, said: “Msheireb Museums enriches the creative landscape in Qatar, and this competition is an opportunity for designers to showcase their skills and innovations.

“The gift items Sogha is one of our core legacy components in Qatar and a critical item to promote Msheireb and Qatar’s legacy among new generations.

“The winning designs will be displayed at our Gift Shop where visitors can see and buy them. This initiative comes under Msheireb Museums’ social responsibility to support the creative community and youth designers.”

You can submit your design on the Msheireb Museums website www.msheirebmuseums.com until November 20, 2020.

The winners will be announced in the second half of January 2021.
