Second: Closing retail stores and bank branches in the commercial complexes and shopping centers, with the exception of shops and food outlets and pharmacies.

Fourth: Stopping the activities of health clubs in hotels, according to the circulars issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, until further notice.
Her Excellency also affirmed that the quarantine decision on all citizens coming to the State of Qatar from any destination in the world immediately after their arrival for a period of 14 days, came to preserve the safety of all and the safety of travelers themselves before others, as this decision immediately preceded the discovery of three cases of Qataris coming from the United Kingdom, Spain and Switzerland, which necessitated the immediate implementation of the quarantine decision directly and without delay in order to preserve the safety of all.
Her Excellency said that all Qataris can return to their homeland without specifying that in a period of time.
Her Excellency announced three new cases infected with the virus (Covid-19) from arrivals, (two of them are from the same group in the quarantine), and the third is a new case in the community and works as a driver in a house, explaining that the infected are in a good and stable health condition and receive the necessary medical care in quarantine.
Her Excellency reaffirmed the importance of not leaving the house except for necessity and maintaining the appropriate distance when dealing with the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases, in order to preserve their security and safety.
Her Excellency also called on everyone to avoid social gatherings during the next two weeks, a period that is considered very crucial, noting the role of individuals and families in spreading awareness and canceling many occasions for public interest.
In this context, Her Excellency praised the society in the State of Qatar, Qataris and residents for their awareness and concern for taking preventive measures to protect themselves and their community from the spread of the virus.
Her Excellency added that the people who withstood the crisis in 2017 and surpassed it steadily will surpass this crisis, by cohesion and unity.
Her Excellency stressed that the State of Qatar has followed the principle of transparency with the local and international communities since the beginning of this crisis, by announcing all cases, their numbers and health conditions, and announced all the measures taken to limit the spread of the epidemic.
Her Excellency reaffirmed that the State of Qatar will do its utmost to limit the spread of the virus and take all the necessary required decisions, pointing out that this effort requires the solidarity of all individuals, institutions and sectors, and not tolerating the epidemic.

She stressed that the safety of workers in various sectors is a priority, as well as the safety of everyone on the territories of the State of Qatar, urging all sectors to work in this direction.
For his part, Mohamed Hassan Al-Obaidli, Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, said that the conditions in the industrial area are going on very naturally, in coordination with the companies operating there. All measures that guarantee the availability of food and medical and health care to the residents of this area, while stressing that these measures that have been taken are aimed at ensuring the safety of those in the area and ensuring that they are free of the virus and limiting its spread there.
In response to a question about the responsibility of private companies under these exceptional circumstances, Al-Obaidi praised the Qatari companies, establishments and companies operating in the State of Qatar for the efforts made to maintain the safety of their workers. In this context, he reiterated the importance of these companies raising awareness to workers of the procedures that are issued by government departments to encourage them to follow the preventive instructions including observing personal hygiene on a daily basis and focusing on sterilization and cleaning at work sites, buses and toilets, as well as entry and gradual exit to work places and stress on not gathering and also follow-up Guidance and advice issued by the concerned authorities and issued continuously in all languages.
In response to a question about the fact that all people are exempt from bank loans for a period of six months, and is this decision related to all borrowers from all banks or borrowers only from Qatar Development Bank and is it also include housing loans from it, Saleh Al-Khulaifi, assistant undersecretary for trade affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the decision in this regard came in two parts, the part related to banks operating in the State of Qatar, and it has been stipulated that the Qatar Central Bank will organize the process of exempting all commercial companies and extending the repayment period of their loans for six months .. while the second part of the decision is related to the Qatar Development Bank, which is related to corporate loans only and not related to beneficiaries loans from housing loans, since the aim of the decision is to conduct commercial operations and ensure that all commercial operations are in place and do not affect the provision of products to the consumer.
With regard to the closure of banks, Saleh Al-Khulaifi said that the decision includes bank branches inside the commercial complexes only, and bank customers can visit the rest of the branches approved by each bank.
He called on all bank customers to use the electronic services available to them and avoid visiting the branches except in extreme cases, and he urged them to use all electronic services for the rest of the facilities and services in the State.
For his part, the co-chair of the National Epidemic Preparation Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal, who is also Head of the Infectious Diseases Division at Hamad Medical Corporation, and Director of Health Protection and Communicable Disease said during the press conference that most of the cases that were announced to be infected with Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the State of Qatar are currently 442 cases, and have no symptoms of the disease as the discovery of their infection was the result of the early detection carried out by the Ministry of Public Health on contacts of persons who had been previously discovered, and there are some cases that have mild symptoms such as cough and mild heat, while a limited number have inflammation but their health conditions are stable.
He added that, besides the four people whose recovery had been announced previously, more people are on their way to recover from illness and full recovery, and the results of the tests that were conducted in this framework will be announced soon.
In response to a question about the difference between the concept of quarantine and isolation, Dr. Al Khal explained that the isolation is for the person who is confirmed to be infected with the virus and is isolated immediately within special procedures and subject to treatment, while the quarantine is a procedure that is done for person who has contacts with an infected person in the work environment housing, etc.
He added that it is known that the virus is transmitted from the infected person to about 3 people, and therefore they are placed under quarantine for a period of two weeks to ensure that they are infected or not, in order to ensure public safety of the community.
He called on the public to avoid contact with domestic workers and with other categories of employment because they may be a link between expatriate workers and the Qatari community and residents, by not leaving during the weekend and reducing contacts between them and their friends with neighborhoods and not leaving the house except for necessity.
He also called for keenness to leave a distance with others not less than one and a half meters especially in public places and not to shake hands, explaining that these measures must be taken for a period of at least 4 weeks, where it is expected that there will be a decrease of the spread of the virus in society, stressing also the need to deal with the principle that the other person is infected, even if they do not show symptoms.
Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal emphasized that the precautionary measures have a major role in controlling the spread of the virus, noting the decisions taken by the state which limited the spread of the Coronavirus in other countries.
