Qatar Media Corporation chief rejects Saudi FM’s accusations

The Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani has rejected the recent statements of Saudi foreign minister saying that the Qatari media did not trap martyr Jamal Khashoggi to the consulate,

and the Qatari media did not say that Khashoggi left the consulate after a few minutes.

Responding to the statements of Saudi minister made at a press conference on Thursday in which he attacked Qatari media, the CEO of QMC posted a number of tweets.

“The Qatari media did not cut off the martyr’s body after he was killed. The Qatari media did not say that he died as a result of a fight,” he tweeted quoting a proverb, ‘if you have no shame, then do whatever you like’.

In another tweet, H E Sheikh Abdulrahman said:

“It is noticeable that the Saudi minister and the Israeli ambassador attacked the media in Qatar and Turkey, while they did not say a word about the American press, which did not stop for a single moment since the assassination of martyr Jamal Khashoggi of officially charging Saudi Arabia for the crime.”

H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani was replying to the accusations made by Saudi foreign minister Adel Al Jubeir against Qatari media.
