Qatar Charity (QC) has received food baskets from students of Stenden University of Applied Sciences-Qatar (SUAS-Q), which are to be distributed among workers in the country.
This comes as part of the ‘Our Good for our People’ campaign and in line with the interest of Qatar Charity to activate the role of students in the service of society, as well as in recognition of workers’ role in local development and construction, QC has said in a statement.
‘Qatar Charity appreciates this good initiative, which instils the values of love of humanitarian and voluntary work in the hearts of students. It also contributes to the service of the local community and supports the humanitarian projects that target low-income people and workers.
QC thanks the students, teachers and all those who have contributed to this great humanitarian work, the statement notes.
‘We are grateful to be part of this important initiative and look forward to organising and participating in similar events in the future, said Dr Ivan Ninov, executive dean of SUAS-Q.
Workers make up a key segment in the ‘Our Good for our People’ campaign, the statement adds. Qatar Charity provides services in partnership with government and private entities, as well as schools and universities.
