Some of the greatest perks of living in Qatar are the free events and cross-cultural exchanges, to which Doha Fire Station’s Russians Seasons fashion exhibit is no exception.
Saturated colours, flora and fauna and personal inspirations are reflected in Parfionova’s art, clothing and interior design items.
As a street-style icon and fashion trendsetter, Gazinskaya is noted for her voluminous structured designs, whimsical bright patterns, hand-stitched details and use of luxurious materials, sourced from suppliers in Italy and France.
Her designs have been sported by international celebrities such as Leandra Medine, Veronika Heilbrunner, Natasha Goldenberg, Elle Fanning, Giovanna Battaglia and many others.
The delicate craftsmanship of Gazinskaya’s stitching will be complemented by the masterly embroidery of krestestskaya strochka, an authentic Russian folk craft.
Guests will have the rare opportunity to see this recently-revived embroidery tradition that has been passed down for generations in the Novgorodian land.
Right here in Qatar, these fashion samples serve as material manifestations of Russian heritage.
