Travelers visiting Qatar for the first time are all but certain to pass through Doha.
Whether you’ve got one day, a weekend an entire week or longer to explore this amazing destination, these are some of the places and things you can’t afford to miss.
Visitors can also head to The Pearl-Qatar for luxury shopping and dining at waterfront restaurants. The man-made island has been described as the “Arabian Riviera”—and for good reason.
The Pearl boasts upscale towers and villas and world-class hotels as well as yacht-lined marinas and scenic waterfront promenades.
For more incredible views and photo-ops, head to the Doha Corniche. The bayfront promenade extends for more than four miles so tourists will have ample space to navigate. Most of the city’s notable landmarks can be found here as well, including the Museum of Islamic Art, a five-story museum boasting a world-class collection of art spanning 1,400 years.
Art enthusiasts will also want to pay a visit to the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art. The vital cultural attraction showcases both 20th and 21st century modern and contemporary works from the Arab World.
If architecture is more of your passion, then the Aspire Tower is a must-visit landmark. The 980-foot-tall skyscraper hotel is also known as The Torch Doha for its unique design.
Families will love Katara Beach. Conveniently located in the middle of the city, the attraction offers visitors the option to chill out in the sand or engage in exciting water sports like jet skiing. The beach also features a children’s play area and relaxing gondola rides.
