In the implementation of the directives of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, two aircraft of the Qatar Amiri Air Force landed in Beirut yesterday, carrying medical equipment provided by the State of Qatar to the Lebanese Republic.

The new shipment is provided by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) to prepare two field hospitals that will be built in Tyre and Tripoli.

This is part of Qatar’s continuing support to Lebanon, dealing with the shortages in hospitals as a result of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and supporting the country’s efforts in containing the virus.

The two aircraft were received at Rafic Hariri International Airport by Acting Charge d’Affaires at the Qatar Embassy in Beirut Ali Mohamed Al Mutawaa.
